My Students

Having a class full of sixth graders keeps me on my toes. I love how each day is different and how each day presents new challenges and the opportunity for growth from student and teacher.

One of those challenges is when kids needs to get up and move.

Having standing desks will help them achieve this needs.

My Project

I am a firm believer that not all students learn the same way. Not all teachers teach the same so why should all students learn the same? I feel that by allowing alternative seating options, I can allow students to learn in a way that is conducive to their learning style.

I have students who hear new information once and it is locked in.

I have students that need constant reviewing and then it begins to be locked in. Students need to feel safe, wanted, and valued in order to be successful in a classroom.
