We are a small rural community elementary school in central Illinois with approximately 400 students ranging from Pre-K to 8th grade.
As the Library Aide who has classrooms visiting the library every hour of every day of the week.
I see all ages and grade levels, even children with special needs and all are crazy about their library!! I try to make it as happy, fun and enjoyable as I can.
Although I have quite a few the "Who, What, Where Was/Is?" books in the library, there so many new ones that are now available. Our students are crazy about these books, they can't get enough of them to read!! I wish to begin the 2019-2020 school with a surprise of fresh books from this collection for the students to start devouring.
This specific collection of books seem to be so addicting and captivating to our students! When they read their first one, they return time and time again to read more!! I have students that try to read the entire collection in our library before the end of the year.
I have teachers who tell me that their students are extremely anxious to see what new "Who Is/Was book the library has now!
Even the most reluctant readers are inspired and eager to read these books. They really don't realize they are learning a lot more than just how to read a book.
Getting this project fully funded could only add to their excitement and wonder. They will be especially overjoyed if they are able to see the new titles that are on this list and coming soon!
