This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
We have a great group of kids at Meadowcliff Elementary! We are a small neighborhood school in Little Rock, Arkansas. This year, I have 23 students in my 3rd grade class. Most of our students come from low socio-economic backrounds with 100% receiving free lunch. Many of my students face great personal challenges, but still come to school with a great attitude and a desire to learn. I really have a great group of kids. I hope I can get this wish for them.
My Project
My fun 3rd graders need new headphones. These little guys have a new online phonics program program called, "Lexia." My students work on these fun and educational lessons while I meet with our reading groups. All too often, I have begun to hear, "Mrs. Pinckley, I can't hear! My headphones don't work. After inspecting, cleaning and an inventory of our headphones, my kids and I have come to the conclusion, we really need to replace about half of these headphones. If you can help us out, my students would be over the moon with excitement. Thank you, Mrs. Pinckley's 3rd grade Class
