My students are amazing! They have risen above the difficulties of 2020 and have surprised me at how resilient they are with learning from home and remotely so far this year. They are attentive and engaged and love to have fun! We are from a small tight-knit community, so not being with each has been difficult but they have worked well with dealing with learning in this new way!
My Project
I am requesting both a document camera and computer stand. Both will make virtual and hybrid teaching way easier. My current document camera is dim and difficult for students to see when I am sharing notes, examples, practicing examples with them, etc. This will help in improving instruction for sure! We use a document camera often by sharing through TEAMS and/or doing dry erase practice or notes with students when in the classroom as well as from home. With the current one the light doesn’t work, so it’s hard to students to see certain examples, etc. They are very sweet about it, but could complain a lot more about the quality. Also, the Zoom does not work very well so it’s difficult to Zoom in on documents. Also, a gift card from Teachers Pay Teachers would help with digital learning resources that have been created to make learning more interactive and fun virtually. Finally, a computer stand to help make teaching more versatile with technology and able to move around the room for when hybrid learning begins.
