Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I currently teach at a Title 1 school located in a low socioeconomic area of Orlando, Florida. All of our scholars are on free breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Most of our scholars are English Language Learners with many coming to our school after the devastation in Puerto Rico with hurricane Irma. Many of these students live with family members other than their parents. Our scholars are determined, hardworking and eager to learn regardless of their circumstances. Our school and classroom is a happy, safe, loving and important place for them.
My Project
As a teacher for many years, I keep training and incorporating new and exciting ways to not only engage my students but also create more meaningful content, and dig deeper into the learning.

I'm a strong believer that we never stop learning and children are the future of our world!
Mr. Ron Clark himself and his legacy is one of the top educators in the USA for many reasons. His outstanding teaching techniques, his school community, culture and his staff are top of the line in American public education. I've been hearing about how his training has empowered other teachers and I want to be a part of this.
My students are eager to learn every day. They are happy and exceeding in each subject. I cannot wait to transform the way I teach in my classroom.
