My students amaze me each and every day! This kindergarten classroom is filled with students speaking a variety of languages who come from all kinds of backgrounds. Some students are here as refugees from another country, some are currently living in homeless shelters with their families, while others live in apartments with several families.
Despite their circumstances, they come to school each day ready to learn with a smile on their faces!
My students work hard each and every day in order to get ready for first grade. Each student has similar but different goals to achieve each day, and everyone is making progress toward their goal. I want all my students to be proud of their accomplishments no matter how small.
My Project
If my students are gifted these materials it would make a world of difference in their daily classroom life. The wall pops that I am asking for are stuck to each student's table spot or workspace. The children are able to use these periodically throughout the day. At the beginning of the day, they are to be practicing their first and last name focusing on using lowercase letters. Later they will be practicing writing their numbers or maybe using them to complete math problems of the boards, and in the afternoon they would use them for sentence writing and spelling practice.
As you can see these can be used across the curriculum areas and multiple times during the day.
This makes these whiteboard wall pops, markers, and erasers an extremely valuable tool to use in our classroom. These materials will be a way for the children to gain responsibility by keeping track of their items and taking care of them throughout the school year.
