I have a wonderful group of 2nd graders. My students work hard everyday so I want to provide them with a fun learning enviroment. This is a small, rural, Title One school with 250 students.
I love this school, this community, and most of all the kiddos I teach.
I have spent alot of time in this building because I was a student here from Kindergarten to 8th grade. Then, I was blessed to get a teaching job here in 2005!
My Project
I'm hoping you will help me buy balance balls with chairs, bean bags, wobble chairs, floor cushions, and crate chairs. I want to provide my 2nd graders with a variety of flexible seating options because I want my classroom to be a fun learning enviroment.
I feel that flexible seating will make my students excited to learn and be comfortable at the same time.
I'm hoping my students can have a flexible seating class that can benefit their learning by being comfortable and teaching them how to make choices. I'm trying to get away from the traditional desks in rows that isolate students from each other.
