This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

My group of third graders love hands-on learning! After a year and a half of online learning at home, I've been trying to provide as many project based, hands-on experiences as I can this year.

We will be watching chicks hatch this Spring during our Life Cycles Unit in Science.

Students will learn about the life cycle of a chicken with books, an egg exploration set and eventually, real live chickens! These materials will allow the chicks to safely hatch in our classroom and live safely with us for a few days before being brought to a local farm.
