This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I teach about 60 fifth grade students. The school that I work in is a Title One school. Each student receives free breakfast daily. The students are excited to learn new technology skills. The school provides a safe space for learning and developing life skills. I love having the opportunity to foster new learning for each student.
My Project
The cart will assist me as I move from class to class. This year, I will take my science and writing class on the go. I will be able to keep computer on the cart as well as science/writing materials. This is in effort to help students to remain safe in one classroom due to pandemic.
The goal is not to allow the pandemic to control the lessons.
I want to make sure nothing stops each child from being successful. The metal cart will also help create maker stations for my science class on the go. The glue, clay, pipe cleaners, and paper will provide students with items to help spark creativity. The students are future engineers in the making and promoting items to foster genius hours and stem learning can create or spark a love for learning. The mobile carts will be efficient by housing materials in place for easy access.
