My students need more Kindles so that they can access learning games and use the internet to find information in the 21st-century learning environment.
My students are thoughtful, creative and energetic! They come to school each day with a positive attitude and a desire to learn.
The students in my class are particularly savvy with technology and become more actively engaged when technology is used during a lesson or project.
The excitement level in the classroom skyrockets during an online game or competition!
Through the use of technology, my students are challenged to find information for research projects that takes their learning to a higher level. They are motivated to create more in-depth reports and presentations using the information that they find on the internet. As 21st century students, they need to be able to use technology to find information and engage in our rapidly changing world!
My Project
Please help me to outfit my classroom with enough Kindle Fire devices for students to use in a 21st Century learning environment. A variety of Kindle apps are available for students to use for competitive learning games, literacy activities and much more! Kindles also give students access to the internet. Use of tablets gets students more actively involved in a lesson.
With these Kindles, my students will be able to work in groups of 2 or 3 on class research projects and online learning games.
Ultimately, my goal is to have a device for each student. Every Kindle purchased brings me one step closer to achieving that goal!
