Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are unique and require flexible seating to be engaged and to work successfully in the classroom. They love to learn and need a classroom that supports their learning environment. The quality of their work has improved as I have started using flexible seating already. Many students come from low income families! They do not have life experiences that many kids need to help them with academics! I know that having flexible seating will be a great asset for their learning!
My Project
The wobble chair and balance ball chair will give my students optional seating. When students are able to find what best works for them, their learning increases. Having many options helps to support their learning environment. I already have some optional seating in my classroom, but I have noticed that more would be such a blessing to many of them. Every day they tell me how much they love choosing where they sit!
They even tell me how it has helped them stay focused and engaged in their learning!
I know this will benefit my students greatly! Please help make this happen for my classroom. It is greatly appreciated.
