Celebrate Black Teachers and Students
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Starting on March 18, 2020, due to COVID-19, we began teaching virtually as well as through packets that are sent home bi-weekly.
My students are creative, brilliant, and energetic learners who come from low-income households where supplies are very limited. Although we have provided computers to all students, common supplies are things that many students do not have access to.
My students LOVE "coming" to science class and I strive to provide engaging lessons every time we are together.
My Project
Science class is hitting the "web" and I am determined to provide my students with engaging activities that will peak their interest and keep them coming to class! These materials will be used to engage my students in hands on/minds on activities through this time of distance learning.
My energetic and curious scholars look forward to virtual science class as they know that I will be offering a fun yet educational escape to their day! Science class is consistently the most attended virtual class at my school. I want to continue to offer engaging activities to them until our last day of school on June 18th.
