Help me give my students 35 dictionary/Thesaurus', By providing each student with a dictionary/thesaurus we can give the students with their individual needs and allow them to become successful in meeting their future goals and success in English.
Students at my school are curious, intriguing, and explorative. Having a population of English Language Learners combined with our General Education students dictionaries and thesauruses are a huge necessity and are so crucial to my students. They would indeed be valued. Every day new words need to be explored for use and understanding.
After all, these children are our future and with their success comes our success.
The classroom dinamics for each of my double block classes are Special Education Students, ESL/ELL Learners, and General Education students. With that being said, I am always in need of having to have students look up words not just for vocabulary reasons but in general. This makes our learning environment uniqu and exciting on a daily basis.
My Project
This project will help us accomplish so much in our daily lessons because we learn Greek and Latin root words each week. The students are required to look up and define ten words every week. Students need dictionaries to do this work. They also use these resources to look up any and all words they are unsure of throughout all reading assignments.
Having these Dictionary/ thesauri available for each student will allow independent learning for all my students.
Not only are the students required to know definitions, but also synonyms, antonyms of each group of words and their part of speech.
