Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are so sweet! Many of my students come from a low socioeconomic status. My students cannot afford to buy all of their school supplies. My school is rated at a B right now and I want to help my school get to an A by making sure all my students understand math to the best of their ability.

My Project

Mississippi is the first state to go one-to-one with technology. I plan to use the computers everyday in my centers. I have some computer chairs in my room, but I need one more. While the students are at the computer center they will get to sit in a computer chair. This gives my students a sense of responsibility.

I want to make sure the students know that this isn't plan time, that they should get work done while they are there. F they sit in a computer chair they can feel the responsibility and will work harder.
