This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Do you remember what it was like to sit in a science class room and wish you can actually try some of the stuff you were learning about.

I teach a bright set of students, who mostly come from immigrants parents and low income households.

They attend their local high school which is considered a drop out factory. Most of these students don't have much and have not really been exposed to very many science experiment.

My Project

I really believe that this experiment will make science come alive for my students. They will be able to become genecist for a time and explore what they are learning about in class. And not just read about it like always. They will be conducting experiments on their family members.

This project is important because my students don't get to do very much and this would be a great way for them to get to do some hands-on learning activity.

As well as maybe open their minds into the possibility that this is something they can become in the future... scientist!
