Mrs. B.'s Busy Bees are excited to learn! Our students come from all walks of life and are an important part of our school community. Our school community reaches many low-income families and desires to help them see their full potential.
Students have various learning levels and interests and as a teacher, I want to reach them where they are and challenge them to move forward.
Our students are responsible, respectful, and compassionate! Looking forward to a year of learning!
My Project
I inherited a classroom last year that was in need of help, especially our classroom library. With 23 students I only have about 25 nonfiction books in our classroom library. We use nonfiction books to expand our learning on topics we read in our required reading curriculum. We pair them with our fiction stories or simply expand our learning on a topic of interest.
We don't have science books so these nonfiction books are used when we are learning about topics such as motion, the earth, changes in matter, space, plant life, and so much more!
We also use them to learn more about other cultures and communities.
I am hoping these new books will open new worlds for my students and will help me reach students with various interests.
