My students are first graders in the State College Area School District. They have a brand-new school this year: Spring Creek Elementary. They are kind students with wonderful families. Our school draws students from the small communities of Houserville and Lemont, both of which have consistently been ranked in the top 10 places to live nationally. In addition, Lemont/Houserville Elementary School was designated a National Blue Ribbon School in 2017 for outstanding commitment to equity, excellent, and community building. This will also be the first school year where all students in Houserville and Lemont grades K-5 will be housed in the same building.
This area rug will bring color and comfort into our classroom. The students will be comfortable as they fall in love with their book during our Reader's Workshop. The student's will be engaged and acquire a love for reading in a comfortable environment that you helped to create. Again, you will help create a welcoming environment to encourage students to read for pleasure. You will help students feel at home. This environment will make them feel empowered and connected. Thank you for making our room be a warm and welcoming place for engaged life-long readers. Your generosity is greatly appreciated.
