Help me give my students laptops to do their English work with AND cut our waste down to almost nothing! The laptops are crucial to going paperless in our class!
I have and exciting mix of students from all walks of life. We spend so much time together each day that I really get to know them. My classroom is a majority of minority students with 50% African American and 25% Latinx.
I love each and every one of my students so much!
The more difficult they are, the more I love them. My favorites are the ones that most people consider to be challenging. I love kids with spark and moxie!
One of my students recently showed an interest in literature. I went out of my way to buy him every book I could afford so he could have his very own set! I will do anything to get my students what they need.
My Project
Everything is digital these days! Give my students regular practice on computers and with technology will make a huge difference in their marketability as they enter the workforce. Many of my students don't have internet, much less computers in their homes. They MUST get comfortable with technology and using it to communicate!
Having dedicated laptops in my room will mean being able to use them every day without worrying about availability.
I will be able to make changes on the fly and ensure that my kids have the technology they need to keep up! We can polish resumes, work on writing and email skills, and even look for jobs! Having juniors and seniors that are capable and comfortable using computers is a MUST if they want to succeed in today's workplace!
