Mr. Picasso's Trip to Africa

My students need felt, yarn, poms pons, and glue sticks.

My 6th grade art class is abuzz with the making of puppet heads as a start to a short play.

Students would really love and appreciate some uncut bright colored felt and pom poms to dress the bodies with yarn for hair to bring the story board to life in their play, "Mr. Picasso Goes to Africa."

The play tells the story about the African influence of Cubism. We are running out of felt to clothe the beautiful puppets and this would not only would benefit new learning and teaching but the beautiful new yarns used for hair and clothes would also bring great joy to the making of these puppets.

We are using video to film the short play as motivation to teach others. Puppet making and short plays will be an ongoing teaching strategy and your donation will bring many special moments to students who will realize that this really is something special.
