Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students come from backgrounds where they do not always get the opportunity to read the books they want to read. This project will get them some of the books they want.

I am a new teacher and my class library does not have as many books and series as would be ideal.

Adding a significant number of books and series that my students want will help them continue to practice the reading skills and strategies that we have been working on in class both at home and during silent reading time in class.

I am also requesting gift cards to Teachers Pay Teachers so I can add some fun lessons for my students throughout the year. Adding a series of fun and engaging lessons from Teachers Pay Teachers will help my students stay engaged and allow me to continue spending more of my planning time on mandatory and vital phonics and vocabulary instruction.
