My Students

Mozart said, "Neither a lofty degree of intelligence or imagination nor both together go to the making of genius. Love, love, love that is the soul of genius." I love my students. I want them to be inspired by music, the world around them, and a love of learning.

My kids come from both well to do and impoverished families.

Most of the children at my school qualify for free or reduced cost lunch. They are primarily Latino and Armenian. Many of their parents are uneducated and do not or cannot provide support at home.

My Project

Using he iPod Touch to play music in the classroom through speakers, I will be able to expose my kids to all types of music. They will learn about instruments, composers, musical genres, and dance. They will be exposed to music that they are not normally exposed to in their homes and increase their reasoning abilities.

Music can change lives.

It can touch and inspire. It can aide in memory, bring joy to our lives, and listening to classical music has been proven to enhance your mathematical abilities.
