My students need cot sheets to lay on so they are not laying directly on the mat per state guidelines as well as comfort and sanitation. Flexible seating better meets needs of active learners while sitting.
My students learn through play, which includes active, hands-on experiences that are intentionally planned to meet students individual needs. Our classroom environment allows children to interact with real materials that allow them to socialize, make connections and explore all while having FUN!
Our blended classroom family is made up of the youngest kiddos in our school system.
My students often come from families living below the poverty line. I have students that demonstrate developmental delays and exceptionalities that make connections with differentiated materials essential. My students love to learn and engage in learning opportunities to give them the opportunity to explore and connect.
My Project
We are requesting cot sheets that will help students to rest without feeling the holes in their cots. Rest is vitally important for young children and for the demographic of children in my class, rest time at school may be one of the only times they can sleep and feel safe. We also need wobble chairs that will allow the children to move and enhance their learning experience!
These materials will allow my children to feel safe and learn in a developmentally appropriate way.
