Help me give my students movement props and manipulative for our music room. Children need to move to fully experience music and they love to use special items help express themselves!
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are musicians who are growing in their love of creating! They sing, move, dance and play to express themselves. Students are both performers and audience members and as they watch their classmates perform they learn how to be appreciative of the artistic expressions of others. Students in grades PreK-5th grade all crave time to move and play. My music room is a safe place where all can join in at their level and no one is left out. We are all music makers and there is room for everyone to shine!
My Project
The music room is a place for students to move and play as they develop their musicianship! It is so important for all children to be able to hold onto a little ‘something’ to make them feel part of the class. By funding this project you will be providing a class set of movement props for my students. These colorful props will help them to express themselves as they work with the patterns in the music they hear. The colorful scarves, beanbags, shakers and parachute will enchant and engage them. They will be ‘movers and shakers’ with these great additions to our classroom that will give even the shyest little one a safe place to perform!
