Let me tell you about some amazing 4th grade students. I teach Reading, Writing, and Social Studies to 60 of them. They are a diverse group, both ethnically and educationally. I have special education students as well as gifted students, so we do a lot of differentiated instruction.
These students are some very hard workers!!
They have shown incredible growth since the beginning of the school year, based on various testing data and personal observations. We celebrate their successes in a number of ways throughout the year and they beam with pride!
My Project
I will be moving on to 5th grade with my current amazing group of students next year. In order to keep up with their growth and ability to be successful, I need resources to support them and the 5th grade curriculum.
Looping as a teacher with the same group of kids is an incredible opportunity for both myself and my students!
Unfortunately, I have only been teaching 4th grade for the past 10 years, so I do not have the proper materials to teach 5th grade. It is quite an expense for a teacher to move to a new grade level. While I am extremely excited about this new opportunity, I need help getting what I need for my students.
Teachers are ALWAYS ain't need of copy paper, so I am requesting a case.
The Language Fundamentals, Daily Fundamentals, and Common Core Language Skills are a necessity to give year round spiral review on 5th grade ELA concepts. I use the same resources now in 4th grade and they produce results!
The American Revolution and DBQ resources will be used to help set up a curriculum for Social Studies.
