Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

The start of every year means a fresh, new start even while the school year is already in process. As we plan to move into our new, permanent building in the next few months, there are certain supplies that will not be included in our move. Even in a new facility, I want to make sure that myself and my students have a safe and clean learning environment that is equipped with all the necessary supplies.

A safe & clean learning environment should be a requirement at every school, every year!

Even though vaccines are out and the pandemic had died down a bit, it and the flu are still present. I have requested paper products, such as tissue and paper towels along with other cleaning supplies to ensure cleanliness. I also requested printer ink cartridges and legal pads for classroom learning supplies - students need to both print and write assignments. I want to make sure that students are protected & prepared as best as possible while they are at school.

My students deserve the best - and before I can even think about curriculum, I need to make sure that students' learning space is conducive to learning and health!
