Many students groan when it is time for physical education. Not any more! My students need creative and fun outdoor equipment, like an oversize blow up bowling game, Chinese jump ropes, and more! With a ladder toss game and a croquet set, students will be excited and motivated to go out and move.
I teach in a public California school.
I have 33 fifth graders. We live in a very diverse area and students come from many different ethnic backgrounds. These days with all of the stress towards common core and the overall stress that comes with school, it is not uncommon for students to ask "When are we going outside for PE?"
My Project
With unique and different physical education equipment students will be excited and motivated to go outside and get exercise. The activities are cooperative and involve group work and students will have fun as they review basic physical skills and sports strategies. While moving and working together they are not only developing life long exercise skills but they are keeping their minds and bodies healthy and active!
With all of the technology in our students lives these days, they need to be reminded of the importance of outside creative play.
This unique physical education equipment will be motivating and encouraging. Students will keep active and learn as they work through the skills involved in these physical education games and they will learn the importance of a healthy mind and a healthy body.
