Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach 20 diverse learners in a cross categorical classroom in a low income school. My students have different and distinct abilities. They love to learn with visuals and hands on instruction in all areas of academics.
My students are curious, creative, fun filled kids who despite their difficulties, like to try new things.
I'm constantly looking for ways to engage them in reading and math lessons using their unique learning styles. Learning is a struggle for them, but together we make it happen!
My Project
Who likes to write down notes? My students spend so much time focused on the spelling of their notes, they often miss out on the lesson and why they are doing the work. Interactive notebooks takes the stress out of all that!
My students are visual and kinesthetic learners who greatly benefit from using hands on materials to help them learn.
Coloring, cutting and gluing their notes makes learning fun and enjoyable again, no more stress of spelling mistakes!
Materials listed like the pencils, colored pencils, pencil sharpener, markers and highlighters will ensure that my students will have access to their notes in a fun and creative way, keeping them engaged and learning as well!
