Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our school is located in a working-class neighborhood in the second largest school district in the nation. Our school is very diverse with many different ethnic backgrounds. The students at our school range from being gifted and high academic achievers to students with disabilities. No matter what their specific range of ability is, all of the students love to learn! Students at our school really enjoy science! However, there is little budget for specific equipment needed to help the students learn the standards that are required.
My Project
My students need UNICEF Kid Power Bands to learn real life lessons in global citizenship. In using the UNICEF Kid Power Bands my students will become aware of food challenges that people suffer from across the globe. The UNICEF Power Bands will help my students become active participants in making a positive change in the lives of kids who suffer from malnutrition.
The UNICEF Kid Power Bands will empower my students in knowing that although there are people in need across the globe, they can do something to help!
The UNICEF Power Bands will help my students work together on common fitness goals to create positive changes in the lives of those in need.
