My students need wobble chairs to move and groove while they learn! These new chairs will bring some life into their learning and provide them with more comfortable work spaces for higher engagement.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
"Yo soy inteligente!" Are the words my first graders repeat to each other every day in our dual immersion classroom. It means, "I am intelligent!" and we stand by that every single day. Many students in my classroom have experienced or are experiencing difficult life situations, regardless, they come in to our classroom so excited about speaking and learning two languages.
I work at a large Title 1 school representing a variety of ethnically diverse families, many of whom are primarily Spanish speaking.
I love each and every single one of my students! All of them come into my classroom equipped with so many unique qualities and different learning styles. Getting to know what my students love and how they learn is always exciting for me, it keeps me motivated to always seek to provide them with opportunities for successful learning!
My Project
My students love to wiggle while they learn. In our classroom, we believe in always stimulating our whole brain throughout the day- this includes keeping our bodies engaged in movement. The inclusion of wobble chairs in my classroom will promote the success of student learning through a more comfortable environment for all.
As adults, I know sometimes we have a difficult time sitting still for very long without getting fidgety or distracted, children are absolutely the same way!
Currently, my students are given the option to use lap desks, crate seats, and clipboards as they sit or lay on the carpet. I can always see a greater level of engagement and excitement when students are given these options.
Though I have many children that love sitting on the floor and enjoy using clipboards throughout the day, I still have many students who aren't quite as comfortable with that. I believe adding some wobble seat options at my tables will lead to more motivated learners and bigger smiles all around!
