I am honored to teach a community of fantastic first grade scholars at a low income school in Nevada. We are a STEAM academy and have pre-kindergarten through 5th grade students from all over Las Vegas and Henderson. We set schoolwide goals. Our school sets grade level goals. We are setting and reaching goals each and every day and celebrating success to prepare our students in becoming successful citizens in our ever-changing world.
Together, we discover our world as readers, authors, mathematicians, scientists, technologists, engineers, and artists.
My Project
The Trideer wobble cushions and balance balls with bases will allow my scholars to wiggle as they work towards mastering first grade standards in all subject areas and school wide goals in Lexia, Reading Plus, Reading Rangers, and ST Math.
The balance balls with bases will be a flexible seating option as scholars use our classroom iPads and the wobble cushions will be rotated from group to group for scholars to utilize while they are seated at tables.
Your donation toward this project will promote movement as my first grade scholars work towards all their school wide to become more proficient mathematicians, readers, and writers.
