My Students

Each week I work with about 350 children: children from all over the world, children with special needs, children with struggles at home that no child should have. Through the arts and other means of project-based learning, we strive to create active, exciting learning experiences that develop a child's natural curiosity and problem-solving abilities.

One of my goals as an educator is to provide my students with a safe, happy environment in which they can succeed, be creative and feel good about themselves!

Our school is dedicated to providing a rigorous and well-rounded education to every child. We want our students to be challenged through a variety of educational experiences and, in the process, embrace our multicultural, multilingual community and empower our students to become good citizens and passionate leaders.

My Project

Lights, camera, action...and edit! Our school is in the beginning stages of creating an enrichment, multimedia arts program that will allow children to discover ideas to film and edit through experimentation and collaboration. Students will generate ideas and goals and work together by practicing the collaborative creative process.

Once filming has been completed a MacBook Pro will allow students to edit, add sound effects, music, voice-overs and special effects.

This enrichment program will allow students to practice using 21st-century job skills; teamwork, collaboration, creativity and problem solving and develop leadership skills. Once the project is complete, it will be shared with the entire school community.
