My students need seating options that allow a bit of movement. Third graders are movers and shakers and students with ADHD need the flexibility to move their bodies while they work! Wobble seats are perfect!

My Students

The fantastic crew of kiddos in my class is comprised of bright, eager children who come from a small rural town or the surrounding farm communities. Our population of kiddos receiving free and reduced lunches has increased dramatically in the recent years. We have had a large influx of families needing public housing or deemed homeless causing a direct impact on those needing Title Reading and Math services. They are amazing kids who need support, a quality education and love!

My Project

Third graders are movers and shakers! Whether they're at play or hard at work, their bodies crave to move! Students with ADHD especially find traditional seating to be unnatural and uncomfortable as they're forced to be static and still. After years of teaching and reading research, it is apparent: students learn better when they can move. Wobble seats are ideal for kiddos! They allow their bodies the flexibility to move, rock and sway as they focus on big kid learning! Students feet remain on the floor while their bodies and trunks can gently move back and forth, sway, or twist.
