Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our students are so eager to learn each day. They come to school knowing that they are cared about and are going to have a good experience. We are a Title 1 school with 66% of our students receiving free or reduced lunches and 40% as ELL students.
Many of these students are distracted by their need to move and wiggle.
Physical movement is so important to their everyday life, getting this project funded will enhance a very basic need.
My Project
Kindergartners love to move and we love to get them moving. We want to expand their abilities, their coordination, and their knowledge of physical education. These items will help the children learn how their bodies move and ways to get them moving better.
This project will enhance their recess time and their joy of moving.
They will learn to work together to turn the large jump ropes and jump as a team.
The extra activity in their day will provide healthier growth and development, improve their amount of cardio, help them gain balance and flexibility, and become more confident with their physical growth.
