Movement in the Classroom to Make Learning More FUN!
My students need these standing desks to be more successful in class. This way they can stand and get their work done.

My Students
In the rural high school where I teach Social Studies, we have a diverse group of students. My students are typically low achieving, as I am also endorsed in Special Education. I teach a variety of subjects like Sociology, Psychology, and VA & US History.
These kids have Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD) and many have ADD as well.
These students need to be able to move around, even when they are supposed to be working quietly alone.
We have exercise balls for the wiggly ones, and chairs and tables to accommodate team projects.
My Project
My students will be able to stand or sit, utilizing the research that shows how we can all be more successful! My students are those with special needs as well as attention deficit disorders and will benefit from optional seating in the classroom.
When they have the option to stand during lecture, individual work or group projects, they will get more work done in a timely manner.
As our school moves to all Project Based Learning (PBL) and becomes a New Tech school, we need to be more flexible as teachers and students.
