This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are extremely lively, inquisitive, and kind. They never fail to put a smile on my face as we start school each morning.

My students are happy to be in school, ready to learn, and deserve more than our district can provide right now.

We are a Title I school in a large, urban district, which means that the vast majority of our students are socioeconomically challenged. Rather than hindering my students, however, it just seems to encourage my students to make the most of their education.

My Project

These books promote growth mindset, inquiry based learning and movement in the class during lessons. When I can involve my students with inquiry based learning and movement during lessons, I know we're going to have a great day. One of my favorite things to hear from students is "Class is over already? It seems like I've only been here for 10 minutes!" That is the response I'm looking for!

These books will give me ideas on how to include even more movement and inquiry to lure my students into deep level thinking and inquiry without them knowing!
