My Students

Up, down, here, there and everywhere is where you will find my students during class! Middle school is a tough time for students. While they can be difficult, they are also fun, energetic, sweet and brutally honest. My day is never dull!

I teach in an area with where many students lack appropriate role models and positive adult influence.

School is one of the few places that can help fill that void. I would not trade my students for anything!

My Project

Many students have difficulty focusing in class.

Bouncy Bands allow students to move and fidget without distracting others.

These bands attach to the bottom of their desks and allow students to move their feet and expend some excess energy.

I have a friend who has ADHD. One of her high school teachers had these bands and she states it increased her ability to focus immensely. Last year, I was able to purchase three Bouncy Bands for my classroom to try. Students in those seats did seem to stay focused longer than students in traditional seating. A class set will allow more flexibility in seating arrangements.
