I have a wonderful group of energetic and wonderful students who love to learn! During our time together this year we have engaged in engineering projects based on helping characters in books with their problems. We have also practiced our measuring skills by cooking in the classroom with a crockpot. We exercise and practice our math skills every single morning! Doing jumping jacks, burpees or other exercises while they count by multiples is a great way to get our brains and bodies ready for the learning of the day. I have also started morning bin centers with STEAM activities. My students thoroughly enjoy these! So much learning takes place as they explore and cooperate with each other. I would love to expand the activities for my students. My students are wonderfully inquisitive! They also love to move! Flexible seating is something i’m Excited about incorporating in my classroom as well.

Students NEED to move! Adding flexible seating options will help my students to be more alert, engaged and ready to learn! These seating options will help meet the needs of students with learning/attention differences to be more productive.
When students have choice in seating they can discover their ideal learning environment.
Do they love to sit on the floor? Maybe they are a bouncer, or a wiggle-worm! Maybe they need to wobble or rock.
I am a firm believer in giving students what they need and creating a welcoming and comfortable learning environment. Flexible seating will help me to meet these needs perfectly!
