My Students

Fourth grade students are busy! Our classroom is in a constant state of activity, noise, and movement. I keep students busy so that they are more able to focus and are excited to work! To keep my students motivated, we work in different stations and different areas of the room.

My students are independent, yet still, require much guidance and support.

I am always working on ways to help them focus on engaging them in hands-on activities, creativity, and active learning.

My Project

With many different learning styles and levels, I have found that small group instruction has been the most effective way to instruct my 4th Graders! With that said, I have seen first hand the importance of movement during small group instruction. I have noticed increased attention spans, focus, and overall participation from everyone in my small groups.

Movement increases overall performance of my students.

I will use the wobble stools at my small group table during math and reading groups. By allowing access to movement, my students will be able to acquire all the tools they need to manage their own learning!
