My Students
My students are very special. They come from very low-income households. Most of them don't have the resources to buy supplies. They are part of a Title I school, low-income population, and social difficulties. Some of the students don't have transportation, clothing, supplies, and other essential things.
Our school is considered high poverty.
My students are in need of your help! My students deserve to have all the chances to be educated, prepared, and ready for the future. Therefore, I strongly believe that my students have the opportunity of learning and being happy; regardless of all the situations in their lives. These students have stolen my heart. They deserve this project! You can make a change in their lives!
My Project
This project will give my students the chance to use them to sit during the teacher-student time. We don't have extra chairs for the teacher-student table. The yoga balls will be the chairs of this area. The yoga balls will improve my students' learning process by giving them a seat to sit in a flexible way with movement while they are learning. It is scientifically proven that movement and flexible sitting in the classroom helps students meet their goals and higher thinking skills. I know my students will be eager to sit, learn, work on math, writing, and even read while being on them! This project will improve my students' success at school because they get to work comfortably. Also, These yoga balls will replace the old ones that we have since three years ago (the ones left). They are broken, scratched, they don't hold air all the time, and we don't have enough for all the students anymore at the Teacher-student table/center time. We appreciate all the help you can gives us!
