My Students

My students are a diverse group of kindergarten learners. They come from all backgrounds of life, economically, spiritually, culturally and of many abilities. Although we may look different on the outside, we are a team with a warm community of learners. We all foster a love of learning and exploration.My students enjoy working in teams for all assignments.

We are a loving kindergarten classroom of readers, engineers, poets, and friends.

Our classroom is filled with bright minds from several cultures.

My Project

Including kinesthetic learning in kindergarten helps social and emotional growth. We often include movement breaks to regenerate the oxygen flowing to the brain to stimulate growth. The movement helps students regulate their emotions and helps them to be ready to learn. The use of yoga for kids is a popular method to increase high level learning and cooperative classrooms.

The addition of yoga mats to this classroom would help equalize the economic differences and help the social emotional goals in our population.

All of the active kindergarten students would be able to have a good yoga mat for our movement breaks.
