Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are such a fun and lovable group! Not only do students come from varying ethnic backgrounds, but also from different parts of the world! They've enjoyed learning about each other's cultures. In doing so, they've come to understand that being different is something to be embraced!
My students are so excited to learn, they can't contain themselves!
They come to school every morning full of energy and excitement! They enjoy recess and P.E. It is not uncommon to find them dancing during recess if music is being played.
My Project
These flexible seating materials will allow my students to have the sensory output they strongly seek. As a blended learning school, my students have access to educational technology that meets their individual educational needs. Unfortunately, with the use of so much technology, students are confined to a desk more often than not.
The one thing we are strongly missing is opportunities for students to move around and choose their own seating.
My students seek stimulation. Giving them flexible seating will help increase student engagement and focus. It will also provide my students plenty of discourse opportunities without distracting other students.
