"Singing into a microphone and learning to play an instrument - learning to do your craft - that's the most important thing! It's not about what goes on in a computer!"
-Dave Grohl (Foo Fighters)
My students are excited to learn about music and show their skills to the world on a great stage.
They actively participate in every activity I throw at them, whether that's bucket drumming outside, singing in front of a crowd, or marching with kazoos out in the field. They take everything I give them and run with it.
My Project
My students learn to use microphones, understand how they work, and why we need them. They will use the microphones regularly during class, at our school's concerts, and during our outdoor festivities at the end of the year.
The microphones will also provide tremendous help in assemblies with guest speakers and when combining a grades for special events while retaining speaker mobility.
The goal for this project is to improve speaker and listener communication.
The major advantage of wireless microphones is the ability to move around while projecting your voice. This is invaluable during stage rehearsals, outdoor performances, and large scale classroom settings.
I want every student to hear my voice while moving around the audience and classroom environment. This is simply impossible to do with a stationary, corded microphone.
