My Students

My students are 6th grade scientists. My students are creative, thoughtful and full of brilliant ideas to share with their peers. They enjoy science because it is hands-on and easily lends itself to student engagement. My students love to think like scientists and to work together to solve phenomena. Each one brings a unique asset to our classroom community to make it such an amazing place to be. With each student comes a different background story, personality and academic ability. The uniqueness of each child ensures there is never a boring day.

My Project

I am teaching 6th grade science in an all virtual setting this year. I have a classroom in my building and have set up areas that will still enhance the learning experience for my students, even through a computer screen. This portable standing desk will allow me to move my laptop to the different areas of my room to best deliver instruction to my students. I can set my laptop up and record demos, move my laptop in front of the chalk board or move it so that students can see models of what we’re learning.
