Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My room is filled with students with diverse backgrounds and unique personalities. Each student comes to class daily eager to learn and determined to overcome any challenge. The students enjoy reading above all of the other subjects.
Living in a high poverty community, not many of the students get the exposure to resources they need to become successful.
It is a welcoming classroom where you will see smiles that are ready to learn, create, and discover. They are my inspiration.
My Project
Many of my students have trouble sitting still during instruction. Many students tend to stand or constantly move their seats back-and-forth, creating a distraction for the other students to stay focused. With these materials, the flexible seating will help ALL the students stay focused throughout the day.
The donations to this project with help my students stay actively engaged and actively moving at the same time.
Throughout the day, the students will have the choice to sit on these materials. The wobble chairs, wobble cushions, and balance balls offer the seating and movement that the students need. The students will be able to move and engage in lessons taught during the day. Flexible seating transforms classroom learning!
