Help me give my students a Smart T.V. in order to meet their needs more effectively. This T.V. will provide all our students with a visual to follow during circle time.
Our students qualify for special education services and receive additional services such as speech and language therapy, occupational therapy, and physical therapy as needed through our program. Each student has an IEP. Many students working on goals and skills including: attending to tasks, following directions and completing activities with reduced amounts of support.
Our classroom ranges in ages of 2.5 to 6 years old.
This can make it challenging to accommodate all ages, one way we all come together is through music. Our kids love to sing, follow directions and learn from music at circle time. We have a wide range of needs within our classroom, and work continuously on meeting their needs.
My Project
These materials will assist our children in learning so they have a consistent visual for all to see and follow along during group music, story, morning message and activities. Being able to project to a larger screen will provide a large visual for all students, including those with a visual impairment, to participate in interactive learning opportunities.
The smart TV and Apple TV will improve students' exposure to novel language, speech skills, and social skills needed to participate in classroom activities.
We will use interactive books to improve vocabulary and language development. To go along with the adapted books, we can assess their knowledge by projecting assessment questions for the children to answer.
Music will assist in following multiple step directions, and use of real life videos will provide the students with exposure to events, and opportunities in place of outings.
