My Students

Our school, nestled in a close-knit beach community, is one of only three non-Title I schools in our local district. We have recently been honored by being acknowledged as a Blue Ribbon School of Excellence, as well being designated as both a High Achieving and a High progress school.

We are a pre-K through fifth grade public elementary school, with a large ESL population.

Our parents are very involved in the school, and we welcome them. Our students are bright, intuitive and ready to learn how to code.

My Project

Students will be encouraged to work in groups designing mazes and writing down code for their Robot Mouse. Students will calculate steps to reinforce their math skills, formulate a story to help build their literacy skills and create mats to display their artistic side for the Robot Mouse to travel while creating basic code programs.

Students are developing their social and language skills through communication and playing in groups encouraging learning from each other while using Robot Mouse.

Using Robot Mouse will assist in development and understanding of programming, collaborate with other students as they work as a team, and to learn advanced technology skills.
