Help me give my students the final items they need to make our motor room one that meets their needs. The Basketball Toss Game helps with gross motor and high energy expenditure so students can start to de-escalate.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are eager dual language learners who deserve the best education has to offer. The majority of our students live below the poverty line and have experienced many ACEs (Adverse Childhood Experiences) in their young lives yet they arrive at school each day ready to learn. They are passionate about science, math, language arts, physical activity and work hard to put forth their best effort. Learning in two languages is challenging, but we see their perseverance every day!
Our students trust the teachers and staff to take care of them, and sometimes they don't show their best selves as a result of the trauma in their lives.
Frustration, doubt, any number of things can trigger a student to shut down, act out or panic. Classmates show care and compassion, and we all "circle the wagons" so to speak to help get each other back on track. This will be my 19th year at this particular school, and my 32nd in education, and I wouldn't want to work anywhere else. Our school community works diligently to make sure all students experience success.
My Project
We have a number of small and gross motor, as well as sensory tools from my prior DonorsChoose project. However, we find we are missing an appealing choice for our student athletes, and those with impulsive bodies. So, we are asking for these final items to complete our tool kit.
Students respond to a variety of materials - we need to have choices that appeal to them so they will successfully access the Motor Room.
Seeing a basketball toss through which they can expend anxious energy, or a body sock that helps them retreat safely and still work out their energy, are two items we are missing. We want ALL of our students to know that the Motor Room is a place they can find an activity to help them regulate and then get back on task to have a successful day.
