My Project

My students love flexible seating options! The options I currently have work wonders for my third graders. The only problem is, I don't have many, and more kids would like the opportunity to work at different places around the room.

The Lakeshore floor desks are highly desired when students want to work away from the group table and increase focus.

I'm telling you it works! I have 2 floor desks right now, but many students need their own space to work, so we share them on a rotational basis. My students frequently ask if can get more for the classroom. Owning 2 more would double the availability for my kids!

Another way to motivate kids in writing is with what they hold in their hands. Students will do just about anything to use a "special pen" for the workshop tasks they have. These Flair pens are just the ticket! Writers also need organizational materials to keep writing resources and work in progress organized. When you provide motivational seats, organizational materials and writing tools the engagement is high! Every strong teacher knows engagement wipes out behavior! It's a win-win!
