My Students

My math students are wonderful kids. They come from many different backgrounds. In a small rural town, they go without a lot of things, but they don't let that hold them back.

My students are hard-working students who don't let mistakes define them.

They keep trying and work hard to succeed. They learn in different ways and at different paces. Some need to be able to move around to learn best. Other students may need to see something visually instead of just listening to the lesson.

My Project

Many students have a problem sitting still. Having these fidget bands on their chairs will give them a constructive way to get the wiggles out while still working on focusing on the task before them. One of the concepts we have in 6th grade is to deconstruct shapes. This is a very hard concept for students to understand because it is so abstract. The tiles help them to visualize what the concept is teaching. The candy is for incentives and rewards for in the classroom.

In every classroom, students need motivation, support, and focus to be able to succeed.

These supplies will help to provide those things.
