Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My 6th-grade students are amazing, bright, and have unique personalities of their own. One thing that they all have in common is their love of a good movie! As we enter test prep and then testing season, I would love to have rewards to engage and motivate kids to try their best this last half of the year.

I believe that encouraging students to make good choices includes providing rewards they can enjoy, will inspire students to try their best during the grueling test prep season.

The Cinemark Theatre movie gift cards will be used as an incentive/ reward that students will work towards. Students will receive the gift cards as rewards for participating during state test prep sessions, completing assignments, and even displaying good sportsmanship during PE. It's sometimes difficult to get 6th grade students to make good choices but with a reward system in place, it really does encourage students and motivate them to always give it their 100%. My middle school students will gladly work towards earning these amazing gift cards that they can use to go to the movies! Thank you for taking a peek at our classroom project to motivate and engage my 6th grade students.
